Terms and Conditions For Holiday Properties
Please read carefully. When you book your holiday with us you are signing a contract. Reservations are accepted subject to the following conditions.
Terms
All terms are per week (Saturday to Saturday or Friday to Friday) or for short stays. Except where stated, for the house/cottage as equipped and described. Bookings are from 4pm on day of arrival to 10am on day of departure (subject to unavoidable delays). Upon departure you are obliged to leave everything in a clean and tidy condition. Prices quoted include VAT at 20%. VAT is subject to change should the VAT rate change. Invoices are issued after booking has been confirmed.
Contract
When you submit a booking via our online reservation system you will receive an automatically generated booking summary by email to the email address you provide in the booking form. This does not form a contract between us. A contract shall only arise when your booking is subsequently confirmed in writing via a letter of confirmation sent to you by email
Booking confirmation
Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of 50% of the accommodation rental. You will then become responsible for the total price.
Payment of Balance
The balance is due by you no later than 28 days before the holiday commencement date. For bookings made within 28 days of the start of your holiday you are required to pay the full price. In the event of this balance not being received within thisperiod, we reserve the right to cancel the holiday without further notice and without any refund of deposit.
Cancellation
If within seven days a customer wishes to cancel their booking, a full refund will be given. Thereafter the deposit is not returnable, if written notice of cancellation is received not less than 28 days before commencement date of the holiday, you will not be liable to pay any outstanding balance. However, if cancellation is notified within 28 days of the holiday commencement date, you will be liable to pay the full balance unless we are successful in re-letting the holiday. Notification should be made in the first instance by email or fax and confirmed by first class mail to The Estate Office, Kingairloch, Ardgour, Fort William, PH33 7AE.
Availability
Should the house/cottage not be available due to circumstances beyond our control (for example fire, flooding or damage) we cannot guarantee to provide alternative accommodation, in which case all sums will be returned to you in full but you will have no claim against us.
Number in your party
Under no circumstances may more than the maximum number of persons, as stated, occupy the property. We reserve the right to cancel our contract, without a refund of sums paid, should this condition not be observed. We reserve the right to revoke any bookings from any parties which may, in our opinion (and at our sole discretion) be unsuitable for the property concerned. In this case, all sums paid will be refunded in full.
Pets
Pets may be accommodated in all our properties. Maximum number is three per property and only in reception rooms at £24/pet.
Damage
An inventory of the contents of each house will be checked at the beginning and end of each holiday period. Any articles found to be missing or broken will be paid for by you, as will any damage to the fabric (reasonable wear and tear exceptable). Kingairloch House has a refundable damages deposit of £200 which is paid to the estate upon your arrival by cheque. Should everything be left in good condition, the deposit will either be destroyed or posted back.
