The Boathouse Restaurant

Welcome to the Boathouse Restaurant

The natural larder of the Scottish West coast offers such a range of fresh, sustainable, and flavourful ingredients that are perfect for creating unique and memorable menus. Our managing partners Pete and Jan are incorporating locally sourced seafood, venison, and lamb, alongside freshly picked produce grown in the estate’s Walled Garden, perfectly paired with their own freshly baked breads. Dived west coast scallops, whole creel caught langoustines, Isle of Mull landed Lobster, and South Corrie venison;  a highland and coastal menu perfectly fitting with The Boathouse Restaurant’s breath-taking panoramic surroundings of dramatic hilltop ridgelines and the coastal shoreline of Loch a’ Choire.

The restaurant seats 20 comfortably so we strongly encourage bookings as early as possible to avoid any disappointment, especially at a time of year when the cottages will be busy with visitors.

The Boathouse Restaurant is open weekly for lunch and dinner service with a schedule of special events. Additionally, there is a daily Click & Collect takeaway menu with delivery services available for cottage residents.

A wonderful Christmas Getaway: This was our 4th visit to Kingairloch but our first in the Old School.

We arrived two adults two dogs on Christmas Eve for a weeks stay. Everything was spotless and nice and warm.

Very comfortable settees and bed. Fluffy pillows and massive soft towels. Everything you need and like all the cottages great views.

We did some walks around the estate. Twice we saw Otters on the approach road where the wall is.

Lots of magnificent stags some even right next to the cottage. Visited every night by a Pine Martin and one night he brought a friend.

Golden eagles in the bay. A big thank you Bob and Kevin who helped me out when our car got stuck.
